Carlos Tevez, a former international for Argentina, was brought to the hospital due to chest symptoms.
Tevez was brought to a hospital on Tuesday in Buenos Aires, where he will stay until the results of his tests are in.
The 40-year-old striker, who previously played for West Ham, Manchester United, and Manchester City, is currently the head coach of Independiente, an elite team in Argentina.
Tevez's initial tests at the Trinidad Hospital in San Isidro were "satisfactory," according to an Independiente statement on X, external, but he will remain there in the interim as a "precaution."
August 2023 saw Tevez take over as the manager of Independiente. He earned 76 caps for Argentina between 2004 and 2015.
After his third tenure with Boca Juniors, he retired from playing in June 2022. He had previously held a brief position as manager of Rosario Central.
Between 2006 and 2013, Tevez made 201 Premier League matches and scored 84 goals.
Twice with United (2007–08 and 2008–09) and once with City (2011–12) did he win the Premier League championship.
